Lisa D. McGill
Lisa McGill is the principal of LM Strategies Consulting and is a native of South Suburban Chicago, Illinois. She primarily works to bridge theory and practice while helping institutions build better relationships with under-resourced communities. Before consulting, she worked as a program officer in a community foundation and as a coordinator of community outreach and events programming. She is the author of Constructing Black Selves: Caribbean American Narratives and the Second Generation (New York University Press, 2005). She holds a Ph.D. from Yale University in American Studies. Her undergraduate degree is from Dartmouth College in English modified with Latin American & Caribbean Studies.
LMS PARTNER CONSULTANTS
Rocío Alcántar is a policy analyst with a focus on social policy and public interest law. Her professional background includes work with public interest and human rights organizations, including Asociación Pro Derechos Humanos de Andalucía, Enlaces America, the International Human Rights Law Institute at DePaul University, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in Costa Rica, and the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago. She received a B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago, specializing in International Studies and Latin American Studies. She holds a J.D. from Depaul University’s College of Law.
Tuan P. Do is a graphic designer and branding specialist with a client list that includes both nonprofit and for-profit institutions. He is the proprietor of Tuan Do Graphic Designs in Chicago, Illinois, which serves as the graphic design agency of record for LMS. Over the years, he has developed communications and collateral materials for the Chicago Community Trust, Exelon, Chinatown Museum Foundation, United Airlines, the Chicago Park District, and Dunkin’ Donuts, among others.
Heidi Danos provides administrative, operations, and client support services to LM Strategies Consulting and its network of partners and affiliates.
Other LMS Affiliates
LM Strategies Consulting regularly engages several affiliated consultants in the nonprofit, academic, and philanthropic sectors on a project-specific basis. Clients have the option of solo project management by LMS or retaining LMS services to coordinate a team of leading consultants. |
